I’m feeling a bit stagnant right now – with Max being more stable (which is fantastic) there’s no major daily changes. However, I still can’t really do anything much, as he’s not really stable enough yet. I can do the odd nappy change or mouth clean, but I can’t pick him up when he’s upset, feed him, or tuck him in to make him comfy. We’re almost willing the surgery so we can get the next stage of his healing going, but this surgery is big, and the stronger and bigger, and less oxygen-dependent Max is when it happens, the greater the likelihood of a good outcome. So, we wait. Patience!
